Clive Pare Memorial Fund

The Fund was established in 1978 in memory of Clive Frederick Pare, a much loved Headmaster of the Canterbury Cathedral Choir School from 1937 to September 1963 when he was appointed a Canon of Gloucester Cathedral until his death in 1973. The Fund's governing instrument is a Trust Deed dated 18 March 1981 which is registered with the Charity Commission - No. 282317.

OBJECTS

The Charity's purpose is to provide financial support for former Canterbury Choristers or Singing Boys wishing to undertake a course or training at any school, college, university, conservatoire or training establishment in the United Kingdom or elsewhere through the provision of grants.

POLICIES AND ORGANISATION

The Trustees welcome applications for such grants from former members of the Choir. The Hon. Secretary receives applications as well as dealing with other correspondence and will circulate them to the Trustees. The Trustees normally meet at least once a year and consult with each other when necessary. The Fund's accounts are maintained by the Hon. Treasurer of CCOCA, with which the Fund is closely affiliated.

HOW TO APPLY FOR GRANTS

The Honorary Secretary is pleased to help all former Choristers with their applications and welcomes telephone and/or email enquiries. Please note that to progress with a submission, a formal written application is required on the form provided supported by other details as necessary.
